The Hilton Head Island Gullah Celebration Youth Art Competition and Exhibit is presented by the NIBCAA. The competition is for young artists in 3rd grade and 8th grade attending a public, private or homeschool program in Beaufort and Jasper Counties. Individuals may enter with their parents’ help. Categories include wet media,dry media, digital and photographic media. Students’ artwork will be exhibited at the 21st Annual Arts, Crafts and Food Expo – February 18- 19, 2017 and the winners and their families will be recognized during the Expo.

The Gullah Celebration celebrates youthful vision and creativity as expressed through art. This year's emphasis on arts integration into the classroom curriculum will give students the opportunity to demonstrate understanding of Gullah art, food and/or crafts through visual art.


JANUARY 9-13, 2017

All-level entries accepted; no entries accepted before 9 a.m. on January 9th, or after 5 p.m. on January 13th deadline. Entries can be delivered or mail to – NIBCAA attn: Youth Art Contest, 539 William Hilton Parkway Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.

All entries must include Artist Name (First and Last Name), Parent/Guardian Name, Contact Phone Number and Grade.
